Thanks for the article! You are absolutely right that it’s so important to know how to manage time. Good time management can help you to cope with everything you are planning to do. In general, property managers are running out of time and it seems that there's just never enough time in the day to get everything done (inspect properties to ensure compliance, negotiate leases with existing and would-be tenants etc). To start managing time effectively, you need to set goals and make a list of things that you need to do each day. This list shouldn’t be very long; you can’t cope with everything in one day. Write some necessary things you need to do each time and think in what order you need them to be done. For example, when I want to find a new tenant I the first thing I do – post my advertisings at different classifieds like http://houston.localmart.co... , then make sure the flat is ready for seeing etc. There should be a definite order, this way you can saves an enormous amount of time, effort and frustration in the future.

Using those tools helps to get a better handle on our schedule and manage our workload in a way that is productive, efficient and gets the job done more easily. For time management, Personally I have been using Replicon ( http://www.replicon.com/olp... ) software! It is an excellent software that helps businesses of all scales to function efficiently.

I think it's also important to have guidelines about the heating situation in a new apartment. I'm currently getting screwed because the landlord is not taking care of the lack of heat in our building, but because he gave us each a space heater, that legally suffices. It does not physically suffice... it's really cold in SE Idaho during the winter. To add to the list: always try to view a flat during the day rather than night to see how much light gets in through the windows. Ideally try to view it on a rainy day.

Yes of course. That's the most important thing because you never know when you will need to bring up evidence to fight an unscrupulous landlord. (We just had to recently).
